2026 AMC 12 Exam-Day Guide

2026 AMC 12: China Administration
Admission tickets, exam-day procedures, answer submission and results.

This guide brings together the 2026 AMC10/12 Event Operations Manual and the 2026 AMC10A/12A School Test-Centre Computer-Based Exam Instructions (ASEEDER, October 2026). Chinese-only instructions have been translated into English. Updated 3 November 2026.

Choose the instructions for your registration route. The Math-Table manual describes paper answer sheets for A and B. The ASEEDER document describes the school-based computer exam for A only. Both are in-person arrangements; on-campus computer testing does not mean remote testing from home. Check your admission ticket and test-centre notice for the route assigned to you.

B exam Saturday, 14 November 2026, 17:00-18:15 The supplied computer guide covers A only; do not assume its mock window or procedures apply to B.
Admission ticket opens 31 October 2026, 12:00 After 3 November 2026, 18:00
Mock exam No mock window is specified in this manual. 3 November 2026, 18:00 to 6 November 2026, 16:00
Arrival and late entry Arrive 15-30 minutes early; entry is available 30 minutes before the exam. The manual bars entry more than 15 minutes after the start. Arrive 30 minutes early. No entry after the exam starts.
An unanswered question Leave every answer bubble blank. Select option F to mark the question unanswered.
Early submission Not allowed in the actual exam. Allowed in the mock only; not allowed in the actual exam.

Both documents specify 75 minutes, 25 single-choice questions and a maximum score of 150: 6 points for a correct answer, 0 for an incorrect answer and 1.5 for an unanswered question. The computer guide states that actual question types are subject to the real exam paper. Its exam languages are English and Chinese.

2. Math-Table Route: Admission Ticket and Registration Identifier

Admission-ticket enquiry opens at 12:00 on 31 October 2026. Visit Math-Table, choose Admission Ticket, enter the mobile number used for registration and complete verification to view the ticket.

Remember that registration mobile number: the manual uses it as the unique identifier on the paper answer sheet. Check the session and venue on your ticket before travelling.

3. Paper Exam: Materials, Conduct and Leaving the Room

Bring: a black 2B pencil, an eraser and a black gel pen. Permitted tools include rulers (including set squares and triangle rulers), compasses, pens and pencils. Use the scratch paper provided by the test centre; do not bring your own.

Do not use: protractors, graph paper, calculators or devices capable of transmitting or receiving information. The manual lists smartwatches, mobile phones, computing devices, smart glasses and earphones among prohibited electronics for this paper route.

Work independently throughout. Proxy participation, guidance from someone beside the candidate, consulting books or notes, looking up information on a device, peeking and copying invalidate the result. Other conduct affecting the fairness of the exam is also prohibited.

Before the start: finish personal matters. The manual prohibits leaving during the exam for drinking water or using the toilet and states that leaving the room is treated as a violation that invalidates the result.

Stay until the end: early submission is not allowed. Hand in the answer sheet, question paper and all scratch paper; none may be taken out of the room.

Keep the exam confidential: the paper manual prohibits discussing questions, answers or solutions with anyone, in any form, during the 24 hours after the exam.

4. Paper Answer Sheet: A Step-by-Step Filling Guide

The same answer-sheet format is used for AMC 10A, AMC 10B, AMC 12A and AMC 12B. Check both the competition level and the A/B version before marking it.

Area How to Complete It
Competition level and version Use a black 2B pencil to fill the correct AMC 10 or AMC 12 bubble and the correct A or B bubble.
Signature Use a black gel pen. Write clearly, without joined-up or cursive lettering.
Registration mobile number Write the correct digits with a black gel pen, then use a black 2B pencil to fill the corresponding digit bubbles. Check that every bubble matches the handwritten number.
Question answers Use a black 2B pencil. For each answered question, fill one of A-E. For an unanswered question, leave all its bubbles blank.
All other bubble areas Use a black 2B pencil. Only the signature and handwritten mobile-number area use the black gel pen.

Write only in the designated filling and signature areas. Stray writing elsewhere can prevent machine reading and make the card unusable. Do not use correction fluid or correction tape. Erase unwanted marks completely and remove eraser debris. Multiple marked options count as an incorrect answer and earn 0; a faint unerased mark may be read as a second choice. Incorrect personal-information markings can invalidate the result.

5. ASEEDER A Exam: Ticket, Mock and Device Preparation

Scope: the following sections describe the supplied AMC 10A/12A school-based computer instructions, including AMC 12A on 6 November 2026, 17:00-18:15. They do not establish procedures for the B session.

Print your admission ticket. After 18:00 on 3 November 2026, open ASEEDER's WeChat mini-program, named ASEEDER LIMITED in the English document. Choose My Registration → the relevant programme → Admission Ticket Download → Download. Save it to your phone album, or use the blue link to send it to the email address used for registration. Download and print it in advance and bring the printed ticket.

Use the mock window: 3 November 2026 at 18:00 through 6 November 2026 at 16:00. Practise on the same device you will use in the actual exam. You may repeat the mock and submit it early. The public mock access code is mockexam. Your account and password are on your ticket and are the same for the mock. The actual exam access code is different and will be announced by the proctor on site.

Device Check Requirement in the Supplied Guide
Computer Standard quad-core processor and 8 GB RAM. Bring the exam computer and its charger.
Operating system Mac OS and Windows are supported; the guide recommends Windows 10. It excludes tablets, phones, other mobile devices and "MacBook Neo" (the model name as printed in the guide).
Browser Latest Google Chrome recommended. 360 Browser, Microsoft Edge and Firefox are also listed as supported. Do not use Safari on a Mac.
Background apps Before entry, close unrelated applications that could create pop-ups, including communication software. The Chinese text also lists security-utility and PC-manager applications; follow the test centre's approved device setup.
Display timeout The Chinese instructions warn that the screen turning off forces submission. Before entering the exam system, cancel automatic screen-off or set the longest available display timeout, and monitor the screen during the exam.

Bring identification and stationery: a valid ID card, passport, household register or student card; your admission ticket; pencils, erasers, a black or blue pen, a ruler and compasses. The approved exam computer and charger are permitted equipment for this route.

Do not bring: personal scratch paper, calculators, protractors, graph paper, phones, smartwatches, smart glasses or other unapproved items. The proctor supplies blank scratch paper 10 minutes before the start. Write your full name and the identifier required by the proctor: the Chinese document says admission-ticket number, while the English version says account number. Check which is required at your centre.

6. ASEEDER A Exam: Login, Answering and Submission

Step 1 - Arrive: enter 30 minutes before the start. Candidates may not enter after the exam begins. Do not start answering until the start instruction is given.

Step 2 - Open the official entry: go to ASEEDER's AMC page and choose Exam Entry at the upper right. Before login, switch the language to English at the upper left. Use the account number and password printed on your admission ticket.

Step 3 - Select the paper: choose the correct session, read the instructions and wait on the countdown page. When the countdown finishes, choose Start, enter the actual exam access code supplied by the proctor and select OK. Do not substitute the mock code.

Step 4 - Work within the common exam window: the system starts its countdown when you enter the answering page. Finish within the scheduled window; a later entry to the answering page does not establish a later exam finish.

Step 5 - Stay in full-screen exam mode: leaving the exam page, including through pop-ups, more than the permitted number of times is treated as cheating, forces submission and invalidates the result. The supplied document does not state a numerical allowance.

Step 6 - Record each answer: only answers submitted in the exam system count. Choose F if leaving a question unanswered. Check that the corresponding question number in the left-hand Answer Sheet turns blue. If it does not, check the network and submit the answer again as instructed in the guide; alert the proctor to a technical problem.

Step 7 - At the end: the system automatically closes the answering page when time expires. Answers whose question numbers have turned blue are saved automatically. Early submission is not allowed in the actual exam. Leave only with the proctor's permission, take no exam materials out and do not re-enter after leaving. Do not linger or talk near the examination room.

Keep quiet. Do not whisper, peek, copy, deliberately allow copying, pass answers or exchange papers. Do not pass stationery or other supplies without permission. Follow the proctors and do not obstruct their work, disrupt the room, intimidate or threaten them; the guide states that such misconduct invalidates results.

7. ASEEDER Integrity Policy and Confidentiality

The supplied ASEEDER document states that selected questions in the China paper undergo technical changes of equivalent difficulty with support from the Global Organizing Committee. Answers to these modified questions differ from the original paper.

According to that policy, responses matching the original paper's answers on modified questions may trigger an anomaly warning. If original-paper answers appear on more than 75% of the modified questions, the China Organizing Committee reserves the right to determine that copying occurred and invalidate the result; the policy states that no appeals are accepted in those cases. This threshold concerns modified questions, not 75% of all 25 questions.

The policy provides for disqualification and invalid results, and for reporting particularly serious misconduct with significant adverse consequences to university admissions officers. The conduct section additionally states that academic misconduct will be reported to admissions officers. Candidates found to have cheated do not receive certificates. Registration is stated to acknowledge that the candidate has read, understood and agreed to these provisions.

ASEEDER A-session confidentiality: do not publish, circulate or discuss exam content or answers online, on social platforms, through chat software or orally before 7 November 2026, Beijing time. The guide warns that premature disclosure leads to cancellation of results. This is the date stated in the computer guide; the paper manual separately requires 24 hours after the exam. Follow the rule for your administration and any stricter current organiser instruction.

Participants may report suspected violations to the proctor or to ASEEDER on +86 400-9999-615, the organiser supervision number printed in the guide. This is the organiser's number, separate from Hanlin's learning consultation contact.
